The Thermomix TM7: what's new
A bigger screen, cooking with the lid open, a quieter motor and a cool-touch bowl. Here is a simple look at what changes with the Thermomix® TM7.

The Thermomix® TM7 is the newest model from Vorwerk. It was presented in February 2025, and the first deliveries started in Europe in April 2025. Since then, it has arrived in more countries.
Many of you ask me what is really different. Here are the main changes, explained simply.

A bigger touch screen, no more knob
The TM7 has a 10-inch multi-touch screen. The TM6 screen is 7 inches, so the difference is clear. Recipes and photos are easier to read.
The turning knob is gone. You now control everything on the screen, a bit like a tablet. The home screen can also be personalised with your favourite recipes and your plan.
Open cooking: with the lid off
This is a big change. With the TM7, you can cook without the lid, up to 100°C. It is useful for reducing a sauce, stirring by hand or adding ingredients while you cook.
There is also a mode with the lid unlocked that goes up to 120°C, and a browning mode up to 160°C to sear and caramelise.
A quieter motor
The TM7 has a new motor. Vorwerk says it is quieter than the TM6, especially at low and medium speeds. Nice for open kitchens and early mornings.
A cool-touch bowl
The mixing bowl is now insulated. The outside stays safer to touch, even when you cook at high temperatures. The bowl capacity stays the same as on the TM6 (2.2 litres).
A larger Varoma
The Varoma steaming attachment is bigger on the TM7, so you can steam more food at once. Good news for families and for batch cooking.
A new look
The TM7 has a new, clean black design with a ribbed surface. It looks modern on any kitchen counter.
What stays the same
- ✅ All the functions you know from the TM6 are still there.
- ✅ Guided recipes on Cookidoo® work directly on the machine.
- ✅ The built-in scale, the speeds, reverse and Varoma steaming.
Should I change my TM6?
Your TM6 is still a great machine. The TM7 is more comfortable to use, with more space on the screen and new ways to cook. The best way to decide is to see both and taste the food yourself.
