Date & banana "nice cream" (no added sugar)
A creamy frozen dessert made with frozen bananas and dates. No added sugar, ready in a few minutes. Perfect for hot Gulf days.

When it is hot in Dubai, everyone wants something cold. This "nice cream" looks and tastes like ice cream, but it is made with only fruit. The dates give a natural sweetness, so there is no need to add sugar. Kids love it.
You only need a few ingredients and a little planning: freeze the bananas the day before. Your Thermomix® does the rest in seconds.

- 30 sec / speed 9 — Add frozen banana, vanilla, cinnamon and salt. Blend, then scrape down.
- 20 sec / speed 4 — Blend again, helping with the spatula through the lid, until creamy.
- By hand — Serve right away, or freeze 30 min for a firmer texture.
Esra's tip
Use very ripe bananas with brown spots: they are the sweetest. Keep a bag of frozen banana slices in your freezer, and dessert is always 5 minutes away. Try adding 1 tablespoon of tahini or a few pistachios for a Middle Eastern touch.
